Quick update on the June 2 election: I didn't receive a majority of the votes to become our next alderman -- an additional 130 votes would have been more than enough though. I learned a lot and made many new friends. Overall, it was a very positive experience in spite of the stress and hard work. I, along with my opponent, ran clean campaigns. As an American, I'm grateful for the opportunity to directly participate in our political process.

I bought a Stovebolt (http://www.stoveboltengineco.com/) split intake/exhaust system and it has been good about not leaking and I like the headers. While my intake is for a 4 BBL carb, Stovebolt also sells an Offenhauser intake for a 1 BBL carb -- see http://www.stoveboltengineco.com/acartpro/product.asp?productid=106 (no online photo at this time). I'd recommend checking that out.

By the way, how do you like the Jasper rebuilt 250?

Great report and information. I have always honored and respected my father.

Just one note *Douglas Conner was remarried in 1987 to Rhonda J.Conner who was faithfully by his side until the time of his death in 1998.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful work!

Thanks for sharing! I appreciate and want to try to learn the low hanging fruit. Being a person that always focuses on the future I find it hard to think of shorter term and more realistic goals but it is a very good point.
